One mans dream

Every Man's fantasy!

On a recent poll on my page, the vast majority asked me to draw Disneys Belle in my own style... so here it is;

Disneys Belle humanised.

I know there will be a lot of comparison to Pat McMichaels amazing drawing of belle ... there's bound to be as we have used to same reference but i have tried to make changes to differenciate the two...

the hair is the most obvious, the face and in particular the dimples (i wanted to give her a Cheryl Cole look) the boobs are smaller and the seams... For her earings i went online to try and find images of studs that had a different light to the reference to make Pats and mine differ! lol also Pat has included a pattern on the skirt... i loved the idea, it really adds something but i left mine plain out of respect for Pat.

Having said that, Pat is the master at this genre and i have learnt an awful lot from studying his amazing style... One thing i loved about his is that the gloves were white not yellow as in the reference (so i pinched the idea!!!) it just wouldnt have the same impact with yellow gloves... they would almost meld into the dress... and the light reflected wouldnt be the same... also the background... i have make slight alterations more in keeping with my style... but i kept the halo glow... it makes the hair stand out very well and is a nice touch...

so i hope you like it, i look forward to what you all have to say as i am really pleased... actually quite chuffed with myself over this :-D
